Badge System and Event Collaterals for Now Learning
Overview
Now Learning is ServiceNow’s global education platform, helping customers and professionals gain skills, earn certifications, and grow their careers. As part of the platform’s evolution, I designed a scalable badge system, visual identity, and event collaterals to celebrate learner achievements and build stronger engagement throughout the journey.

My Role
- Crafted an illustration style and visual language to make achievements feel valuable, unique, and brand-aligned.
- Designed a scalable system of badges representing courses, certifications, and milestones — defining hierarchy, style, and level progression.
- Designed promotional assets, stage visuals, and branded materials for Now Learning events to extend recognition beyond the screen.
- Designed micro-animations and reveal states to make earning a badge feel exciting and celebratory.
Approach
1. Visual Storytelling & Delight
Through illustration, motion, and thoughtful detail, the design elevated learning from a transactional activity into a motivational journey — encouraging learners to stay engaged and proud of their progress.
2. Scalable, System-Driven Design
The badge system was built to support dozens of learning paths and certification types, with clear visual hierarchies and consistent patterns for future expansion.
3. Celebration Beyond the Product
We extended recognition into the physical world through event collateral — from stage graphics and signage to digital campaigns and social-ready assets — connecting the product experience with real-world celebrations.
Impact & Outcomes
